Abstracts. You may already submit your abstract for the SCS Annual Meeting 2025. All abstracts must be submitted in English, and all presentations at the congress are held in English as well. The presentation forms are the following: free communication, visual abstract, and video. The abstracts are categorized by field of expertise. Like in previous years, there will be numerous prizes for the best publications from the various fields of expertise and basic organizations. A detailed abstract submission guideline is available on the congress website www.scs-congress.ch/2025. Be sure to read it carefully before submitting, to ensure that all requirements are met. We look forward to your submissions, thank you for actively contributing to the scientific program of the congress!
Course Day
The traditional Course Day will be held on Wednesday, 21 May 2025, ahead of the two-day Annual Meeting. The Course Day provides the opportunity for young surgeons to deepen their knowledge and push forward their education thanks to a wide range of courses that are offered. Hands-on classes and interactive courses with renowned experts will be on offer. You will be able to sign up for the Course Day soon. Until then you may indicate that you would like to be contacted during the congress registration process as soon as Course Day registration is online.
Location. For the first time, the SCS is pleased to welcome you to the Romandie, at the SwissTech Convention Center (STCC) in Lausanne, for its Annual Meeting.
Program. The scientific program will feature crowd favorites like the Champions League, the Main Stage, and other thrilling sessions. Like in 2024, the Champions League will kick off the scientific program of the SCS Annual Meeting 2025 on Wednesday evening after the Course Day. The SCS Annual Meeting 2025 will allow the speakers to upload handouts of their presentations, which will be made available to all participants after the Annual Meeting. All basic organizations are asked to have at least one session that is based on the congress motto: Guardians of the Scalpel: Securing Excellence … in adapted professional pathways, …in patient care & outcome, …in surgical techniques vs. emerging new non-surgical approaches.
