Laparoscpic appendectomy during pregnancy

Acute appendicitis is the most common reason for non-obstetrical surgery during pregnancy.

The incidence ranges from 0.15-2.10 per 100 pregnant women. The patients are prone for a delay in treatment with an increased risk of appendiceal perforation. In this video we present a case of 34-year old women pregnant in the 35th week suffering from acute appendicitis. The focus is on technical aspects and setup during the operation.
