On behalf of the entire editorial team, we are delighted to announce that Christoph Kümmerli has joined the Editorial Board of SWISS/KNIFE. We are confident that his visions and perspectives will greatly enhance our efforts to uphold the quality and impact of SWISS/KNIFE. After studying in Bern, he worked in St. Gallen, at the University Hospital in Zurich, in Austria, and as a researcher in the United Kingdom and Italy. He is currently an attending surgeon at the University Hospital in Basel. His clinical and academic interests focus on liver and pancreatic (HPB) surgery. This is reflected in his research, which emphasizes international collaboration in minimally invasive HPB surgery, perioperative care, and the design and conduct of clinical trials. Additionally, he completed a postgraduate Master of Science in Clinical Trials, covering all aspects of randomized controlled trial design and implementation.
